Ciplox is classified as an antibiotic. It works by breaking down the production of essential proteins necessary for the survival of bacteria. In doing so, it slows the growth of the bacteria and eventually eliminates the infection completely.

Common Side Effects

Common side effects include headache, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, vomiting, upset stomach and loss of appetite. Contact your doctors if any of these side effects worsen or persist.
Severe Side Effects

Ciplox use may result in a number of severe side effects including bloody stools, yellowing of the eyes or skin, seizures, suicidal thoughts, mood changes, depression, restlessness, anxiety, hallucinations, severe skin irritation, joint pain, fatigue, vision changes and yeast infection. If any of these symptoms occur, seek immediate medical attention.

Ciplox has been known to react severely with a large number of medications, including Cymbalta, Advair, aspirin, Lasix, Geodon, Respbid, insulin and sodium phosphate. Consult a full list of interactions before taking Ciplox, and discuss your medical history with your doctor.

Overdose of Ciplox may occur if you do not closely follow your prescription. Never alter your dose size or length of use. Symptoms of overdose include seizures, blue lips, pale skin, general weakness of the body and trouble urinating. Seek emergency medical help if you suspect an overdose.
