Flowers That Cure Cancer
No magical, mystical treatments exist that will immediately cure cancer. That being said, many substances found in nature have various anti-cancer properties. Combine certain flowering plants with traditional treatments under your doctor's supervision, and you may have a better chance of curing your cancer.

Blessed Thistle

Blessed thistle has been used for many purposes in herbal medicine, such as alleviating female menstruation symptoms and indigestion, and boosting the immune system. The flowering plant is antimicrobial and antineoplastic. This second term means that blessed thistle is able to hinder the formation of abnormally growing cells, such as cancer cells. To take blessed thistle, you can purchase a dried herb made from the flowers and leaves and use two grams in a cup of boiling water to take it as a tea. Do not take blessed thistle if you have allergies to the daisy family.

Red Clover

This flowering plant has been used for respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and to help heal wounds. Red Clover contains the cancer preventive powers of isoflavones, which are compounds used to prevent infection and the spread of cancer. These compounds affect the enzymes that are used by cells to reproduce and can help ensure that cells grow normally. These flowers can also be taken as a tea by adding two to three teaspoons of dried flowers to a cup of boiling water and letting it steep.
St. John's Wort

This popular flowering plant for depression may also have healing powers for insomnia, high blood pressure, and a variety of bacteria, viruses and cancers. The compounds found in St. John's wort enhance the immune system and are currently being studied for their benefits for sufferers of AIDS and cancer. Take the herb as a tincture, taking five to ten drops orally each day or use the flowering tops as a cream on skin cancer. While these anticancer properties are exciting, keep in mind that studies are still being conducted.
Sweet Violet

Sweet violet has long been thought to have anticancer abilities. History tells us that a poultice made from the leaves of this flowering plant has been used to treat skin cancer since around 500 B.C. While this effect has not been proven, the flowers and leaves are still used in British herbal medicine to treat stomach and breast cancer. This can be taken as a tea with one teaspoon of the dried herb added to a cup of boiling water.
Rosy Periwinkle

Rosy periwinkle contains two major known cancer fighters in the vincristine and vinblastine alkaloids. Vincristine has been tied to fighting childhood leukemia, while vinblastine may be effective against testicular cancer and Hodgkin's disease. These herbal compounds may have similar side effects to chemotherapy, and taking the plant should be done under a doctor's supervision.
