Individual Stock Reporting

Information pertaining to large stocks that are components of the major stock market indexes is accessed from the Market Data---Stocks tab at the top of the homepage. You may also retrieve stock quotes by entering ticker symbols at the quote box header. If you are unfamiliar with the ticker symbol, Bloomberg provides a search feature that allows you to type the proper name of the company into the interface to pull up information.
Individual stocks carry company profiles, alongside basic quotes and earnings information on Bloomberg. The "Company News" tab lists press releases and news stories that are related to the company by date.
Bloomberg allows you to design interactive charts, which track the performance of a particular stock against other securities for a set time frame.
Personal Finance

The personal finance header allows you to actually assemble Bloomberg's stock market data and convert it into action according to your particular situation. The personal finance section is not as detailed as other parts of the website, but often features articles written by experts within this field.
The financial glossary page is the most important sub-grouping of the personal finance section. Campbell R. Harvey, Duke University professor, has compiled a glossary that defines over 8,000 terms for Bloomberg.com. You will use these definitions to explain terms that you may be unfamiliar with, while researching individual stocks.
