Wedding Games for Girls
Weddings are a romantic event and are often very exciting for young girls. At weddings, girls begin to formulate ideas for their own dream wedding. Some wedding coordinators, brides and grooms make the decision to incorporate wedding themes into the reception to keep guests of all ages entertained. Because weddings are an event that most little girls look forward to and plan in their imaginations, wedding games for girls are easy to come up with.
-
Toilet Paper Dress
-
Gather numerous rolls of toilet paper, paper clips and tape and give to the group of girls. Have the girls wrap the toilet paper around each other and design their own toilet paper wedding dresses. Use a timer and make the game more interesting by allowing the girls to have only a minute or two to design their dresses. Have other guests vote on the best dress and award the bride and designer with a small prize for the win.
Mr. Right
-
Have the girls express their drawing skills and imagination by drawing and describing their ideas for the perfect groom. They may describe what male traits they are most attracted to, or personality traits they hope to find in a mate. Have the girls share their drawings with one another and then gift the drawings with written descriptions to the girl's mothers or the bride to give to the girl on her wedding day.
-
Mocking Game
-
Divide the group of girls into couples and allow them to decide who will be the bride and who will be the groom. For a set amount of time, the faux couples will mock the actions of the happy couple and be judged according to the best impression.
Happy Couple Quiz
-
Quiz the young girls about the happy couple and award the girl with the most correct answers a small gift. Questions may include where the couple met, date of engagement, the couple's song and where the groom proposed.
Scavenger Hunt
-
Another wedding game possibility for girls is a scavenger hunt. The hunt will have to be prepared for ahead of time; place clue cards around the reception area to lead the girls to a final prize. Creating different scavenger hunts that lead to the same prize allows the first girl or group of girls to get to the prize to become the winners.
Proverb Game
-
Use the old proverb about the bride's attire and award girls wearing objects described in the proverb. For example, a girl with old shoes, girl in a new dress, a girl wearing a borrowed necklace, or a girl wearing blue earrings. Remember: old, new, borrowed, blue.
