According to PayScale.com, a medical esthetician in the United States makes $26,770 to $39,245 a year with one to four years of experience. Those with five to nine years of experience make $30,000 to $43,448, and those with 10 to 19 years of experience earn $35,422 to $54,537 each year. The salary range for 20+ years earn the most at $37,733 to $77,769 per year.

    Commission

    • A part of a medical esthetician's salary depends upon commissions, which vary based on their experience. According to PayScale.com, a medical esthetician with one to four years of experience earns a commission of $3,482. Those with five to nine years of experience earn a commission of $4,848, and those with 10 to 19 years of experience earn a commission of $6,145. Medical estheticians with 20 plus years of experience generally earn a commission of $2,700.

    • Private practices or firms have the largest range in salary for medical estheticians. According to PayScale.com, a medical esthetician working in a private practice or firm earns $29,833 to $47,859 each year. A medical esthetician working in a company has less of a range, earning $29,032 to $40,226 each year, and a medical esthetician working in some other type of organization makes a salary range from $30,521 to $44,219.

    I think you need to update your statistics and also account for different areas of the country Also fair commission based pay is usually based on the services provided to the patient/client and in all fairness should be based on who contributes what and how much it could be a split 50/50 the pay I think you are referring to as commission is for retail I earned almost 81k -in Calif of course I have been an Esthetician for 20+ years and had very full books
