Juice for Skin Disease

There are many types of juices that a person can drink for skin diseases, which are often caused by an overgrowth of candida albicans on the skin. This fungus can overtake the skin's natural bacteria and cause inflammation and infection. Juices containing vegetables and fruits can stop this overgrowth and provide nutrition for healing these skin conditions.

  1. Considerations

    • Juice can be effective in containing and killing excess skin candida. This is because candida fungus also resides in the digestive tract and colon. Actually, systemic candida can spur the overgrowth of candida albicans on the skin. Many vegetable and fruit juices have yeast-killing properties. Drinking these juices can stop the proliferation of internal candida overgrowth before it affects the fungus on the skin.

Benefits of Vegetable and Fruit Juices

    • Fruits and vegetables contain digestive enzymes unlike other foods such as meats and grains. These digestive enzymes actually kill candida overgrowth in the colon and digestive tract before they wreak havoc on skin cells. They also promote phagocytosis where healthy white blood cells engulf bad bacteria, aged red blood cells and even cancerous cells (i.e., melanoma) before they affect the skin. Vegetables and fruits also contain antioxidants (i.e., vitamin A) which can prevent skin diseases such as dermatitis and eczema. Drinking juices from fruits and vegetables increases the absorption rate of vitamins and minerals. This minimizes the chance that some of these nutrients will be lost during the digestive process.

    Types of Vegetable Juices

    • There are many types of juices you can use to prevent skin disease. You can drink juice from one vegetable or multiple vegetables. Though commercial juices are healthy for you, it is better to mix fresh vegetables in a blender and drink them. Some vegetables you can use include carrots, cucumbers, radishes, kale, onions, parsley, celery, beets, cabbage, garlic, broccoli and wheatgrass. According to Sheryl Walters of Naturalnews.com, "broccoli juice contains compounds that protect cells from ultraviolet light." Ultraviolet light is a common culprit of skin cancer.

    Types of Fruit Juices

    • There are many fruits you can use for fighting skin disease. Some of these include pineapples, melons, kiwi, strawberries, blueberries, oranges, grapefruits, bananas, apples, pears and grapes. One caveat for juicing with fruits is that all of them contain sugar. If your skin problem stems from candida overgrowth, too much sugar can exacerbate your condition. Try limiting your fruit juices to one or two. Pineapple juice is often used for treating skin problems, even oral conditions like periodontal disease.

    Time Frame

    • There is no set time frame for using juices to treat skin diseases. You should continue drinking juice from vegetables, fruits, or a combination, until your skin problem clears up. These concoctions can even help prevent recurring skin problems. Thus, you can use them regularly, too.
