Kanten & Weight Loss

Kanten is a source of fiber extracted from red algae. It is also known as agar or agar-agar to the people of the West. Traditionally it was an ancient vegetable gelatin created through the drying of the extracts of red sea vegetables.

  1. Fiber

    • Kanten is high in fiber-- 81.2 percent. The fiber allows Kanten to increase in volume by absorbing liquid within your stomach, making you feel full faster so you eat less.

    Calories

    • Kanten has no calories in it. You can eat as much or as little as you want. Kanten has no taste or smell, so you can add it to a number of foods.

    Minerals

    • It contains minerals such as calcium, phosphorus and iron. These minerals help your body function and build muscles. Muscles allow you to burn more calories daily than fat by changing the body composition thus helping you lose weight.

    Carbohydrates and Fats

    • Kanten has no carbohydrates. This helps your body get rid of the carbohydrates that are stored in your body before building them up more. It also has no fat in it. This helps reduce weight by losing all extra fat cells.

    Sugar

    • Kanten has no sugar to cause extra problems. Kanten helps the body break down the glucose it has because you are not bringing in more sugar. When your body is breaking down the glucose, you reduce the caloric intake because your body is using energy.
