What Are Some Hot Curlers Styles?
Hot rollers provide a quick and easy way to create sexy, bouncy curls and new styles in minutes. Like any other heat product, it is more damaging than unheated rollers, so use heat-protecting sprays and other products. Hot rollers are a styling shortcut, but they should not be used for an everyday look. Does this Spark an idea?

Tools & Products
-
In addition to your hot rollers and securing hooks, you will need a blow-dryer and a comb with a tail. For hot-rolled styles, keep your hair in the best condition possible. Use a good shampoo, followed by a deep conditioner. Apply leave-in conditioner to towel-dried hair. For styling products you'll need shine serum, mousse, heat-protecting spray and hairspray.
Prep
-
After towel drying clean hair, apply a dime-sized amount of leave-in conditioner to the entire length of your hair. Use a blow-dryer to blow your hair completely dry. Once your hair is dry, apply a few drops of shine serum to your hair.

Short Styles
-
For a short and sassy curly look, apply a small dollop of mousse to your hair. Rub your hands together and distribute through the ends of your hair, keeping away from your scalp. Once the mousse has been applied, separate 1-inch sections of the hair with the tail end of your comb, and use medium-sized hot curlers around the front of the face and crown of the head to create volume, and smaller curlers around the back and nape of the neck.
If you have bangs, curl the roller toward your face and roll the rest of the rollers away from your face. Allow the rollers to cool completely and remove. Use your fingers to comb out the curls until you achieve your desired look. Finish with a light mist of hairspray all over.
Medium & Long
-
When creating medium to long curly styles, you will essentially use the same technique as far as prepping hair, but instead of mousse, spray hair all over with heat-protecting spray, concentrating on the ends. Again, take the tail end of the comb and separate your hair into 1-inch sections.
Use medium to large rollers to roll your hair away from the face. Roll one row of curlers straight back to the nape of the neck and about three rollers on each side of the head. Allow the rollers to cool and remove. Decide if you want to go for a sleek middle part or a flirty side part. Tease the crown of your head with your comb for added height and fullness, and spray all over with finishing spray.
Updos
-
After curling your hair, pull it up into a loose twist, allowing some curly tendrils to fall down from the twist and around the face. Secure the twist with bobby pins. If you want a super-simple, glamorous look, pull curled hair up into a medium-high ponytail and secure with an elastic band. Take a small section of hair from your ponytail and wrap around to conceal the elastic band, securing the loose ends with a small bobby pin. Use your fingertips to arrange and define curls. Spray with finishing hairspray to set and hold the look.
