Oasis Playa All-Inclusive Resort
The Grand Oasis Playa All-Inclusive Resort is a five-star hotel located in Cancun, Mexico. The resort is situated on the white, sandy beaches of the Caribbean Sea and is in the heart of Cancun's famous Hotel Zone. The Grand Oasis Playa is about 13 miles from downtown Cancun and is about a 15-minute drive from the Cancun International Airport. The Grand Oasis Playa has eight companion resorts along the Hotel Zone in Cancun. The Grand Oasis Playa is owned by Oasis Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of Grupo Globalia.

The Grand Oasis Playa Resort comprises 388 guest rooms within an eight-story building. All rooms offer views of colorful tropical gardens, the Caribbean Sea or the Nichupte Lagoon. All accommodations include one king or two double beds, air-conditioning, satellite TV, a mini-bar, blackout curtains, a telephone with voice mail, clock radio and roll-away beds. An ironing board with iron is available on request. In-room safes are available but cost extra to use.

The Grand Oasis Playa Resort is all-inclusive, which means all meals, snacks, beverages, taxes and gratuities are included with the room rate. In addition, some activities and equipment also are included in the room rate. These include non-motorized water sports, use of pools, beach chairs and towel service. Land sports such as beach volleyball, tennis and the fitness center also are included in the room rate.

The resort offers a large activity pool with a swim-up bar, a "quiet" pool, which features a waterfall, and an infinity pool. There is also a fitness center, two spa tubs, on-site spa services, on-site tennis courts and a nine-hole, par three golf course. The Grand Oasis Playa also features a sauna, free high-speed, wireless Internet access in common areas, 24-hour front desk service, an on-site gift shop, tour assistance and beauty services. Dry cleaning and currency exchange services also are offered.

There are six restaurants at the Grand Oasis Playa Resort. The Café Coba is a casual restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets and offers international cuisine. Dos Lunas serves a Mediterranean-Italian mix a la carte dinner and requires reservations. There is a pool-side snack bar that serves Mexican a la carte lunch. Reservations are required at Careyes, a gourmet Mexican and Caribbean restaurant. Las Palmas is a Brazillian-style restaurant and also requires reservations. The Sushi Bar and Terrace features Asian cuisine and offers views of the Caribbean Sea. The resort has seven bars, which includes a beach-side bar.

Rates at the Grand Oasis Playa All-Inclusive Resort vary according to the type of room and season of the year. High season, in which rates are higher, is generally considered to be between the months of November to the end of April.
