I laughed when I saw pharmacist on the list. People generally have this incorrect perception about pharmacy thinking that it's the easiest job in the world and even wonder why they even make so much money. I worked in a pharmacy as a technician and I saw first hand how stressful it is. Literally every single medication must be checked out by the pharmacist (only one is on staff at a time in retail pharmacies). If they make a mistake someone could end up seriously hurt, or even dead. Pharmacies are always in danger of being robbed as well. And don't underestimate how horrible a phone could be. It rings off the hook on most days and many calls are forwarded to the pharmacist since technicians cannot answer questions that patients have about drugs since they're not qualified to give such answers. Retail pharmacists have to handle being needed by many different people at once, since they're the only one on staff, which can be mentally exhausting. On top of all this it's not uncommon for pharmacists to work between 40-80 hours a week with 12 hour shifts, or even longer. Pharmacist make a LOT of money, but if you ask me, they're being short changed and deserve more, at least in the retail world. I never worked in a clinical pharmacy but I heard it's not much less stressful, though you do work with a team of pharmacists. I'm not trying to tell anyone it's a bad job you really do help people, you just HAVE to be able to handle stress. If you can do that, then you can be a pharmacist.
