Information on Making Homemade Treatments for Healthy Hair
When it comes to your hair, throwing down a bundle of money for fancy hair treatments can be unnecessary. There are many things you can create with ingredients from your own kitchen to help get healthy, shiny hair. Does this Spark an idea?

Vinegar Rinses
-
Vinegar helps restore the natural pH level to your hair and may strip it of residue. Use vinegar in a rinse, which you will pour through your hair while you shower or bathe. To make your hair super soft, try mixing 3 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar into 3 cups of water and pouring it over your head after you rinse out your conditioner. If you notice a vinegary smell afterwards, don't worry; it will dissolve by the time your hair dries.
Homemade Dandruff Help
-
If you have dandruff, there are a few easy-to-creat remedies you can try. Try blotting some coconut oil onto your scalp with a cotton ball and leaving it on overnight. When you wake up, apply some lemon juice to the same area and rinse off in the shower 30 minutes later. Another dandruff remedy is to mix equal parts of olive and almond oils, and massage the mixture onto your scalp. Rinse it off after five minutes.

Highlights at Home
-
Whether your hair is light or dark, try using lemon juice to give yourself highlights. On light hair the results can be dramatically brighter, and darker hair may get reddish-brown results. Make a mixture with the juice of a few lemons and enough water to fill a plastic spray bottle. Spray through dirty hair---the oils will help keep the lemon from drying out---and sit in the sun for about 30 minutes. The sun will combine with the acid in the lemon to help lighten your hair.
Homemade Deep Conditioners
-
Moisturize your hair with natural, homemade remedies. For a hair mask, try mashing a small avocado in a bowl and adding the yolk of one egg. Apply all over your hair and let it sit for 15 minutes before washing your hair like usual. If you have a bit more time to spare, try slathering your damp hair in mayonnaise before covering it with a shower cap or towel for 30 minutes. Shampoo as usual to remove it. The vinegar and egg may make your hair soft and shiny.
Homemade Super Shine
-
Use beer in your hair for extra shine. After shampooing, conditioning and rinsing, pour a cold can of it over your hair, then rinse again.
