Haircuts for Boys & Men
Since Victorian times, haircuts for boys and men have tended to be shorter than women's hairstyles. In the 1960s, male hairstyles began to show more variety in length. Today, boys and men can choose anything from elaborately sculpted "scene" haircuts to shoulder length curls or short buzz cuts. Does this Spark an idea?

Toddlers
-
At the toddler stage most boys have trouble sitting still for a haircut. Keeping sharp scissors away from your child's ears is an important priority during this phase. Either trim the ends and keep your boy's hair long or go for a crew cut. The loud buzzing sound of the clippers may be scary, but the plastic guard will keep you from accidentally nicking your son's scalp.
Boys
-
Some grade school boys don't care about their hair at all. Others are just starting to become image conscious. Boys who want a stylish look can get a traditional haircut and just use a little gel to add spikes or bangs. This is a good compromise because you can have them brush their hair normally for formal occasions. If your kid isn't picky, go for a military style haircut. This boy's hairstyle is easy to keep clean.

Teens
-
Teen boy haircuts are the most fun. Young guys can really let their personality shine through since they don't have to fit into a work environment yet. A sporty faux-hawk is a good style for teens who want to look clean cut and modern. Trendy styles like the "scene" haircut feature long bangs to look stylish and sensitive. A shag cut works well for artistic types. Traditional haircuts add a touch of maturity.
Men
-
Mens' haircuts are usually short to mid-length. These styles can be trimmed down around the edges or left a little longer for a more casual look. Traditional male haircuts work for both curly and straight hair. If you have straight hair and want to wear it long, ask your stylist for a razor cut. Curly hair should be textured when it is cut to give better definition to each ringlet. Kinky hair can be braided or dreaded.
Seniors
-
As your hair thins and turns grey or white, keeping it neat and healthy should still be a top priority. Unless it is still thick, avoid long haircuts. These just make your hair look stringy. Instead, choose a haircut that is less than 4 inches long at its longest point. Use a moisturizing conditioner to keep your hair from looking dry and brittle. Rub a little mousse through your hair before you comb it to hold it in place.
