So it's Valentine's Day again and you realize you've forgotten to get that certain someone something special. Don't panic, there are a lot of Valentine's Day gift ideas for teen guys that you can put together at home. Whether you want to give a gift that is romantic or funny, with a little creativity and a few supplies you have options.

  1. Coupon Book

    • Coupon books are always a great idea. Be sure to make a template online or use a ruler to make sure the lines are straight and the book looks professional. If you are in a serious relationship, make coupons for repeats of romantic dates you've been on, a dance to your favorite song or coupons that can be used for back massages and foot rubs. If you're in the early stages of your romance, make coupons for more dates.

    Photo Frame

    • Put a favorite picture of the two of you into a homemade frame. You can get a cheap clear plastic frame from any local convenience store or home good store, and pick up some puff paint, stickers or markers. Decorate around the frame to say things like, "You'll Always Be My Valentine," or 'I Love You." If you are newly dating, you can put something funny like, "What a Pair of Goofballs, Happy Valentine's Day!" .

    Floating Poem

    • Poems are always a nice Valentine's gift. A super romantic poem is right for a serious relationship, but for a less serious situation write a poem about something you really like about the person. It doesn't have to rhyme or be a work of literary genius, it just has to be heartfelt. Print out the poem on transparency paper and put it in a clear plastic or glass frame to make it look like the poem is floating in the frame. Stick some dried flowers in the frame and voila!

    Glitter Flowers

    • Jazz up regular silk flowers with glitter. Fill a bowl with white craft glue and another bowl with glitter. Dip the edges of the flower petals in the glue and hold the flowers upside down to drip off the excess. Let the glue dry slightly so that it isn't drippy but is still sticky, and press the flowers into the glitter. Make a bouquet and add a bow.

    Jumbo Card

    • Make a jumbo-sized Valentine's card out of poster board. Fold the poster board in half and decorate it elegantly with paper doilies and hearts. Be sure to add glitter because it instantly adds an extra level of fancy. Present your jumbo card to your Valentine in public to add to the over-the-top effect of it all.
