Cosopt is a brand name of the prescription drug combination of dorzolamide and timolol. This drug is prescribed to treat increased pressure in the eye that results from open-angle glaucoma and hypertension of the eye. Dorzolamide is a carbonic anydrase inhibitor and timolol is beta-adrenergic blocking agent. This medication is available in eye drops. Cosopt can cause some side effects. According to the Mayo Clinic, some people have noticed blurred vision and sensitivity of the eyes to light while being treated with this drug.
