  1. Requirements

    • Although there are several organizations that provide adoption grants, each has unique requirements for approval. However, there are common factors most organizations require for qualification. When assessing the adopting parents' financial situation, it must be evident that all resources have been exhausted before applying for the grant. Also, most organizations require that an approved home study be in effect.       God's Grace Adoption Ministry, a nonprofit organization, offers adoption grants ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 for Christian families.
      Shaohannah's Hope provides adoption grants for prospective parents, through Show Hope, a ministry reaching out to help find loving homes for orphans around the world.
      Caroline's Promise gives grants ranging from $3,000 to $5,000 to Christian couples living in North Carolina.

    Older and Special Needs Kids Grants

    • There are several organizations that give out adoption grants that cater only to older or special-needs orphans.
      A Child Waits Foundation, a nonprofit charitable foundation, only gives out adoption grants to prospective parents adopting older or special-needs children.
      Reece's Rainbow places grants on international orphans, and when they are adopted, the money is used to help the adoptive parents pay for the adoption.
      A Child's Desire places grants on orphans with disabilities 8 and older.
      Brittany's Hope places grants on orphans that are selected by placing agencies to help them be adopted.
