Raw Food Weight Loss Stories

The raw food diet is a diet that promotes weight loss. The diet itself is made up of raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds that cannot be heated higher than 118 degrees (although there is some disagreement over the exact temperature). The diet doesn't allow meat, fish, dairy or any processed foods. The diet allows for quite a bit of weight loss because it is so limiting. Additionally, because none of the food is processed, it eliminates eating on the run and eating foods without thinking about it. It's also loaded with fiber because of all the fruits, vegetables, and nuts, which fill you up faster. Raw foodies for the most part do not drink alcohol except for the occasional glass of cold-pressed wine.

He doesn't need any medication any longer, which he did for his blood pressure, and he feels great. Even his cholesterol is down to an HDL of 47 and an LDL of 94.     • At one point in his life Philip McCluskey weighed 400 pounds. He was no stranger to being overweight, but this was an all-time high for him, so he started the raw food diet.
