Causes of Skin Diseases
Skin diseases are diagnosed regularly, yet some skin diseases are more commonly diagnosed than others. There are many types of skin diseases with a wide variety of causes but the most common causes of skin disease are bites, bacteria, viral diseases and allergies. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables can help to prevent types of skin diseases, by increasing your immune system's strength.

Eczema

Eczema is a skin disease that causes the top layers of skin to become inflamed, dry, itchy and sometimes flaky. Despite there being no current cure for eczema there are plenty of products on the market which can help relieve the symptoms of eczema. Eczema can be caused by allergies to chemical and detergent-based products, stress, reduced blood circulation or heredity.
Scabies

Scabies is a parasitic skin disease caused by a female parasite or mite called Sarcoptes scabei. The parasite burrows underneath the top layers of the skin and lays her eggs, which hatch within two to three days. This process leads to an infection which is highly contagious. Anyone can catch this common skin disease on direct contact with a scabies carrier or any surface area that an infected person has touched. Scabies is a curable skin disease and is usually aided with a medicated lotion or cream.

Acne is a mild skin disease usually noticed on the face but also found on other areas of the body like the gluteus maximus, arms and chest. There are various causes for acne: poor diet, obesity, poor circulation, greasy skin, bacteria, hormonal changes, high levels of androgen hormones, non-compatible skin products, washing your face too much or not enough and genetics. Some may suffer with acne more than others and will need get prescribed ointments and medications from their doctor, but for others a simple change in habits can help.
Contact Dermatitus

Contact Dermatitis is a skin disease which is usually found on the hands, as the hands are the most common part of the body for direct contact with another source. Certain heavy-duty cleaning products or chemicals can have a harmful effect on the skin's surface if there is direct contact on a regular basis, at home or at work. This can lead to itchiness, redness, blisters and soreness.
Herpes Simplex

Herpes is a skin disease caused by virus infections and is highly contagious. Having a strong immune system can help prevent regular outbreaks of the herpes sores on the surface of the skin but currently there is no cure. Herpes can be picked up via sexual acts but it can also appear in infants if the mother had herpes and/or herpes sores at the time of giving birth. It can also be spread through the sharing of make-up or other skin products with someone who has herpes simplex 1 or 2.
