When shopping for a stroller, you should consider several different qualities. The stroller should offer convenience for both parent and child. Comfort is also a key factor; if the child is comfortable in the stroller, using it will be a much more pleasant experience. Consider the safety standards, specifications and quality. Two of the most popular strollers are the Peg Perego strollers and the Combi strollers. Before purchasing either, you should do a thorough comparison to see which better meets your needs.

    Options

  1. Peg Perego offers four different strollers in its product line. The Pliko P3 Classico is offered in nine different color combinations. The SI is available in six different colors. You can choose from three different color choices for the Pliko Switch. And the Aria OH Classico is offered in four different color combinations.

Combi offers five types of strollers in its diverse product line. The Flare is available in three colors. The Cosmo also comes in three different colors. The Helio is available in two colors. The Cosmo DX is available in one color, along with the Flex.
  2. Convenience

  3. All the Peg Perego strollers feature innovative designs to allow for ease and convenience. Each stroller can be quickly closed and carried with one hand and features handles on the top and on the sides for carrying. Each stroller offers a large storage basket underneath the seat, and all have detachable cup holders for your convenience. The Pliko P3 Classico and the Pliko Switch each have a rear footboard that can easily carry a second child. In case of spills, all the upholstery can be removed and hand-washed. One handy feature of the Pliko Switch is its ability to easily rotate the seat to face forward or backward, depending on your needs.

Combi also prides itself on its "Quick 3-Second Fold" system that allows for easy opening and closing. Each stroller features a removable cup holder, while the Helio and Flex each go one step farther by including a front tray with a snack dish and cup holder. Each stroller also features a large storage basket and a wide canopy.
  4. Comfort

  5. The Peg Perego strollers feature five-point harnesses, which allow the child to have full range of motion while remaining securely belted into the seat. Each stroller has a comfortable seat that is contoured to the natural shape of a child, and the backrests can be easily adjusted to a range of positions.

The Combi Flare offers a three-point harness system, while the Cosmo, Helio, Cosmo DX and Flex all offer the five-point harness system. Each stroller allows for multiple reclining options and a footrest for the child's comfort. The Helio and the Flex feature a wider seating area and a taller handle.
  6. Weight

  7. The Peg Perego strollers carry a maximum capacity of 45 lb. The weights of the strollers vary slightly. The heaviest is the Pliko Switch at 19 lb., then the Pliko P3 Classico weighs 16 lb. The SI is more lightweight at 12 lb., and the Aria OH Classico is the lightest at 10 lb.

All the Combi strollers have a carrying capacity of 55 lb. The Combi strollers tend to be generally lighter than the Peg Perego line. The Flex is the heaviest at 13.8 lb., while the Cosmo and Cosmo DX follow closely at 13.2 lb. The Helio weighs in at 12.25 lb., while the Flare is the lightest at 11.7 lb.
  8. Cost

  9. The exceptional quality and level of convenience provided by the Peg Perego strollers make them quite a bit more costly than the Combi strollers. As of 2009, the Peg Perego strollers cost between $199.99 and $499.99, while the Combi strollers ranged between $89.99 and $164.99.
