XBox Elite Vs. XBox Premium
Microsoft Xbox 360 video game console has been produced in four different models since its introduction in 2005. The main differences between these consoles were the cost and hard drive size of each console. There have also been additional minor feature differences over the production of each video game console.

Xbox 360 Models

There have been four different models of the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 Elite is the most expensive version of the console and comes with the largest hard drive. The Xbox 360 Premium, also known as the Xbox 360 Pro or simply the Xbox 360, is the midrange console with a smaller hard drive than the Elite. The Xbox 360 Arcade, which replaced the older Xbox 360 Core system, does not come with a hard drive at all. The Xbox 360 Arcade and Xbox 360 Core are the worst deals of the lot due to the necessity of the hard drive to download online content, game patches and add-ons.
Xbox 360 Elite

The Xbox 360 Elite is the most expensive version of the video game console. The higher cost is due to the Elite coming with a 120 GB hard drive. The Xbox 360 Elite has always come with a HDMI port, headset, and the same hard drive size. Consumers buying a used version of the console do not need to worry about buying an inferior version of the Elite by mistake.
Xbox 360 Premium

The Xbox 360 Premium has had two different-sized hard drives over the years. A 20 GB hard drive was standard on older models, but was eventually replaced with a 60 GB hard drive. Older versions of the console also lacked an HDMI port and Headset as standard with the Premium. Used Xbox 360 Premium consoles can be potentially either configuration, but 20 GB hard drive versions will usually be cheaper than the 60 GB version.
Bundled Games

One of the more unusual aspects of the Xbox 360 models is that the cheaper variants usually have the most bundled games. The Xbox 360 Premium comes with "Hexic HD," while the Xbox 360 Elite does not have any bundled arcade games. Both the Elite and Pro come in bundled packages which come with full games. The Xbox 360 Elite Game of the Year bundle is actually the most economic deal. This bundle comes with "Halo 3" and "Fable 2."
Elite vs. Premium

The 60 GB hard drive on the Xbox 360 Premium is sufficiently large for the vast majority of gamers. The 120 GB hard drive on the Xbox 360 Elite is usually going to only be necessary for people that buy a large number of movies and television episodes over the Xbox Live Video Marketplace. Very few gamers will fill that much hard drive space with downloadable games and added content. The Game of the Year bundle for the Elite is a very good value for people interested in playing "Halo 3" or "Fable 2." The cost of those games exceeds the price difference between the Premium and Elite consoles.
