Wedding Decorations With Candles
Candles set a romantic, relaxed mood for a wedding. For your wedding day, you can place candles anywhere, from the windows at your ceremony site to your favor table. Try one of these creative ideas.
-
Unify at the Altar
-
Tall, white pillar candles set a brilliant backdrop for your unity candle presentation. Use two tapered candles for you and your spouse-to-be to unite in flame and in heart. Add additional ambiance by placing groups of pillar candles in each window of the church or chapel.
Outdoor Buffet Table
-
A creative way to separate your outdoor buffet table into two serving lines is to use a row of short, fat candles, surrounded by greenery or flowers. This arrangement is beautiful and functional, as guests will certainly understand not to reach over the flames to the other side.
-
Guest Table Centerpiece
-
A centerpiece using candles is easy to create, and will wow guests. Use glass jars and place tall, circular candles in the middle. Pour beads or pebbles in the bottom of the jar to hold the candle in place and add a little color. Or, fill the glass jar halfway with water, adding colorful flower petals and small floating candles.
Lighted Walkway
-
If your reception will be outdoors, line the edges of the walkway to the reception area with tea light candles inside white paper bags. If there is a pond or small water fountain, set floating votive candles inside for an added touch.
Favor Table
-
Use groups of candles inside cylinder-shaped jars on the corners of your guest favor table. Set your favors in the middle, away from the candles. This creates a relaxed, friendly mood for guests when they are leaving for the night.
