Sales Incentive Ideas
When running a business that has employees who work for you as sales associates, it is a good idea to offer sales incentives. This will allow your employees to go beyond the call of duty to find ways to make more sales so they can reap the rewards.
Companies that spend thousands of dollars on marketing and advertising need to incorporate other ways of bringing in sales. Offering employees incentives to bringing in more sales will cost you less and reduce the company's budget tremendously. Market saturation of your product or service will stagnate your sales and is one reason to consider sales incentive ideas.

Rewards Program
-
You can set up a program specifically for employee sales incentives by offering air fares to particularly nice destinations. You can give your sales force reason to want to win a big screen television, movie tickets, fancy dining, gift certificates, massages and other cool gifts they could not necessarily afford.
Discounted Sale
-
Like the consumer, your sales force may use the product and services you provide. Give them heavy discounts on products or services at different sales commission levels. In other words, set a scale or sales point for them to reach in order to get these discounts. This could take the form of an Internet contest for the sales force. You would set a date of completion as well.

Contest
-
Create a contest for the sales force and include an attractive prize. It could be in the form of money or a vacation. Post it somewhere in their office for high visibility and a reminder. You could put the prize money at $1,000 if a specific sales quota is reached or a trip to Hawaii for a weekend or a week for a higher sales quota.
Sports Tickets
-
Offer to give away sport event tickets for championships or finals. Make it enticing by purchasing tickets for front row seats of a basketball or football final. Again, in order to receive these tickets, sales employees have to bring in more sales or collect more receivables (outstanding accounts).
Gift Catalog
-
Get a popular gift catalog. It may be a clothing or furniture catalog. Let your sales team know they can pick whatever they want from that catalog if they meet your sales objective, quota or goals for a specific month. You could have more than one winner and give away smaller items.
Caught in the Act
-
Catch individual sales people doing something right and reward them on the spot. Announce it to everyone to create a buzz. Post it somewhere for everyone to notice. Other sales people will want to be recognized on the spot as well and will want to increase their own performance.
