Parasailing is safe for all ages. Radical Sports Tobago, which offers parasailing tours in the Caribbean, says it's had passengers from ages 3 to 81. Grandpa and grandchild can share in the experience together. There is no age requirement, but it is advised that children under 10 ride with a parent. As long as the passenger meets a weight requirement, which can vary with the intensity of the winds, age is not a concern. If a child does not meet the weight requirement, she can fly with a parent or another passenger. Parasailing can be done in groups of up to three people. And if flying through the air doesn't excite you, most boats can take non-flying observing passengers along for the ride.

Wear sunscreen. It's only a 10- or 15-minute ride, but the direct sunlight can leave you pretty burnt.
