Birth flowers are assigned to each month according to when they are in bloom. Their meanings have come out of ancient myths and old tales involving that particular flower. The flowers are also connected to the birth month's sun sign and birthstone, and each month's flower is significant to the time of the year. Though each month has an assigned flower, it is common for people to send flowers according to the message that they want to convey.
