The Right Accessories Make Your Look
-
No beach style feels complete without accessories, so before delving into a style, make sure you have the right props. Small seashells, white flowers and tiny starfish barrettes are perfect accents for beach hair creations. They are inspired by the sea and give your style an ethereal quality. Note that while authentic shells from the beach are lovely, some might not be safe to put in your hair. If there is any doubt, use faux accessories.
Loose Side Ponytail
-
This style could not be simpler to pull off. A bride with minimal makeup, long hair and a low-maintenance dress will benefit best from this look. Braid freshly washed hair into two braids on either side of the head. The hair must still be wet when braided. The braids will resemble pigtails. Allow braids to dry for eight hours and then release the hair. You will have tight waves, so finger comb to loosen them. Mist the waves with a texturizing spray and pull the hair to one side, letting it fall onto the shoulder. Secure the hair into a side ponytail with a hair elastic. Garnish the hair with a flower or ocean-inspired clips.

Easy Mermaid Style
-
This style works well on medium to long hair lengths and is intended for a young bride in her 20s. Wash and blow dry the hair with a diffuser until it is 50 percent dry. Apply a leave-in conditioner to the ends and scrunch a texturizer spray or gel through the hair from root to tip. Take special care not to pull the hair as you are scrunching. Your scrunching motion is meant to nurture your hair's natural wave so you can also twist strands around the finger to encourage waves. Once you notice waves starting to form, take random ½-inch sections of hair and braid them. Braid in different areas. Leave some braids unfinished at the ends and some unfinished in the middle of the sections. Do not braid more than 10 braids over your entire head; space the braids with this in mind. Finish the style with hairspray. The style itself is intricate enough to forgo accessories.
Sexy Spiral Curls
-
Spiral curls are relaxed yet refined. This style is for any hair length, and any bride can pull this off on the beach. Wash and blow dry your hair completely. Apply a heat protectant to the hair and comb through with a wide-toothed comb to evenly distribute the product. Wrap a 1-inch-wide section of hair around the curling iron. It does not matter whether you wrap clockwise or counterclockwise. Hold the hair for 8 seconds before releasing it. Repeat this over your entire head until all the hair is curled. Add a curl-enhancing mousse to build volume. Finish this look with a shine spray. A white flower or sea-inspired clip will add a nice accent to the hair. A side part can be added to dress up this style.
Textured Half Updo
-
This sleek and elegant style is fit for all hair lengths and will last all day at the beach. Take clean, dry hair and flat iron it until it is completely straight and smooth. Divide the hair into a top and a bottom half. The bottom half should have slightly more hair than the top half. Twist the top half into a bun and secure it with pins. Allow random pieces to fall from the top of the bun. Comb the bottom half of the hair so it is smooth and tangle free. Spray a texturizing spray into your hands and rake your fingers through the top of the style to add texture. Add clips to any wayward strands that have fallen free. Finish the look with a flower on the bun to add a carefree element.
