How the Plan Works
-
The plan is centered around the number 5, hence the name. It is suppose to give results in five weeks with five meals a day, each meal requiring only five ingredients and five minutes of preparation. There is a 25-minute workout each day and five cheat days during the five weeks, meaning each Sunday is a day to eat whatever you like in moderation.
Five Factor Diet Tools
-
Once you subscribe to the 5 Factor Diet online, you will receive a daily meal planner, a personal recipe box, a food log, an eating out guide, an activity calculator, an online journal, a daily inspiration, recipes, a shopping list tool, cooking shortcuts, a custom fitness plan, a weight tracker and an ideal weight calculator.

Breakfast
-
A typical breakfast for the 5 Factor Diet program includes either sugar-free cereal, fat-free yogurt, berries, hot oatmeal or egg white omelets. The egg white omelet recipes vary greatly in ingredients, from salmon and cream cheese to broccoli and cheddar, to eliminate the redundant options that often come with dieting.
Lunch
-
Lunch is typically a salad, soup or wrap. You can spruce it up, however, in different ways when following the 5 Factor Diet recipes like the Mediterranean quinoa salad or the salmon with dill cucumber salad. Open sandwiches are also allowed.
Dinner
-
Dinner includes a lean meat, rice and vegetables. Examples of 5 Factor Diet dinner recipes are curry chicken with brown rice, chicken and black bean quesadillas, lemon salmon and chicken chow mein.
Snacks
-
Two light snacks are allowed each day. Raspberry and chocolate parfaits, strawberry-oat energy bars, a pita pocket snack filled with turkey, Swiss cheese, sliced tomatoes and alfalfa sprouts, and espresso panna cotta are some of the many snack recipes provided when you subscribe to the diet.
