Can I Use a Fujitsu Hard Drive in My Ibook G4?
The iBook G4 line was introduced by Apple on October 23, 2003, making it nearly 6 years old. Although the iBook is not the newest technology anymore, it still does the job for many people. Older computers do not use the same components as the newer versions, but you can use a Fujitsu hard drive in your iBook G4.

iBook G4 Hard Drive Interface
-
Apple has used many different interfaces for their hard drives over the years; especially their notebook lines. The iBook G4 is spec'd at using an Ultra ATA hard drive. So, the only types of hard drives that should be used in an iBook G4 are Ultra ATA hard drives.
If you are looking to replace a hard drive in the iBook G4 with the same size that originally came with it, check out the following chart.

Other Options
-
If you are just needing some extra storage space on your iBook G4, you also have the option of using an external hard drive. This would be an alternative for anyone who does not want to crack their notebook open. Most external hard drives connect through a simple USB cord.
Apple Support
-
The Apple support website will give you instructions on how to replace your internal hard drive. If you would rather not do this job by yourself, you can take your iBook G4 and new Fujitsu hard drive to the Genius Bar at your local Apple store, where they will assist you.
