Selecting the right hairstyle is the first step toward defining your look. As long as your hairstyle of choice complements your personality and facial structure you can't go wrong. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Trendy Hairstyles

    • Faux Hawk
The faux hawk mimics a Mohawk, but the sides of the head are not shaven. The top of the faux hawk is left longer so it can be spiked, feathered or left down, depending on how conservatively it needs to be worn.

      The Fringe
The fringe is a short-to-medium-length hairstyle with messy bangs that is trimmed roughly with a razor. This style can be kept clean or unkempt, depending on what look the wearer is going for.

      Shag
The shag hairstyle is cut in short, medium and long lengths. The typical shag haircut starts thick up top and gradually thins toward the bottom. The style is layered with a fringe that complements the shape of the wearer's face.

    Classic Hairstyles

    • Taper
The classic tapered haircut is a simple hairstyle that is appropriate for men of all ages. The cut starts longer at the front and slowly tapers off toward the back of the neck. This style can be worn with or without bangs.

      Caesar
Styled to resemble the haircut Julius Caesar was depicted wearing, the Caesar style is a short cut, ranging from 1 to 2 inches in length with short and straight bangs. George Clooney wore this hairstyle.

    Buzz Cut

    • The buzz cut leaves the hair very short, between 3 to 19 millimeters in length. The hair is evenly trimmed the same length around the entire head. This style is named for the sound electric hair clippers make.

    Burr

    • Cut in the style of a buzz cut, the burr is a very short and easy-to-maintain style that is about 18 millimeters long.

    High and Tight

    • The high and tight is a standard-issue military haircut for males. The sides of the hair below the temples are very short or completely shaven while the hair on top of the head is longer. Some variants of this style have the sides tapered, while others have a defining edge that separates that top and side portions of the hair.

    Crew Cut

    • A crew cut is a very short cut that is longer at the front of the hairline and gradually shortens towards the neck. The sides are kept short and the cut of the hair is shaped to complement the contours of the wearer's head.
