Does this Spark an idea?

  1. History

    • Bio-Oil was formulated by the German cosmetic scientist Dieter Beier who began his research of oil based skincare products at Union-Swiss in the 1970s. After studying oil and how it was the perfect environment to store vitamins and preserve their potency, he developed the concept for Bio-Oil. Later Beier discovered that by adding PurCellin Oil to his formula, he greatly reduced the oils thickness, thereby giving it the properties of a skin cream. The Bio-Oil formula was finished in 1986 and made available to the public in 1987.

    Function

    • Bio-Oil treats new and old scars, stretch marks, blemishes, uneven skin tones, dehydrated and aging skin. The product should be applied by gently massaging the affected area in a circular motion with fingertips twice daily, until the oil is fully absorbed.

    Time Frame

    • Bio-Oil recommends using the product for a minimum of three months for optimal results. Older scars will benefit with repeated use, but fresh scars experience the most likely improvement. Bio-Oil moisturizes the skin and often the results in appearance can be seen within a few weeks.

    Benefits

    • Bio-Oil claims to moisturize and plasticize the skin, causing a smoother appearance in all types of scars. It is also highly effective in helping to augment the skins natural elasticity which aids in the prevention of new blemishes and wrinkles.
