ShowerBow Vs. Curved Shower Rod
Anyone who has ever showered knows that shower curtains tend to push inward as you are showering. This further curtails the already limited space you have in your shower. If you are looking to alleviate this problem, the curved shower rod and the ShowerBow are two options to consider, and this article should help you decide based on your needs.

Ease of Installation
-
In this category, the ShowerBow wins hands down. To install a ShowerBow, you simply snap it on to your shower rod, and you are done. To install a curved rod, you will have to unscrew your old rod, drill in new brackets and screw in the new shower rod.
Amount of new space
-
The ShowerBow simply pushes out your shower curtain from the middle, preventing it from pushing in. However, this does not affect the top of the shower or the curtain rod. If you are tall, the curved shower rod can free up some head room as well. although the curved rod does not prevent the curtain from being pushed in, it frees up enough room so it won't matter.
Limitations
-
Curved shower rods are just as versatile as a normal shower rod with the added benefit of the extra space. The ShowerBow might not be suitable in all situations. According to the manufacturer, it is not intended to be used on heavy cloth shower curtains or hookless shower curtains. Also, if you do not have a tub edge for your curtain to rest on, the ShowerBow will not work.
Aesthetics
-
If you use an outer curtain cover in front of your liner, the ShowerBow will be nearly unnoticeable, whereas the curved rod can be a bit of an eyesore depending on how your tub is set up.
Does it work?
-
As long as you have a standard 1-inch curtain rod and you don't have a shower situation that fits into the few exceptions, the ShowerBow does exactly what it states and gives you more showering room. Curved rods, even after the pain of installation, still fail to prevent the bottom crowding from the shower curtain; they just move it back.
