One alternative is to have one parent work from home. As the Internet continues to create more business opportunities for people all over the world, the idea of developing a career from home becomes more of a reality.

A tax preparation professional can also offer payroll services for small companies along with tax services.
  2. Content Writers

  3. Before the Internet, it was difficult to pursue a career as a free-lance writer. You needed to submit content repeatedly to magazines, and then wait weeks to hear if your work had been accepted or not. Apply to a handful of companies at a time until you find the ones that you can use to put together a free-lance writing career.

Take the time to develop a few model websites that you can use to show people your skills, create a schedule of values that will give people a general idea of what you charge, and then advertise your business on various public message boards and through free classified advertising websites. Contact businesses directly and offer to do a personal evaluation of their websites that would include a proposal of how you would make their sites better and what you would charge.
