Rutin is a compound molecule found in many vegetables, fruits and fruit rinds, such as citrus fruits, asparagus, tobacco, buckwheat and berries. It is used for treatment of various conditions and is also referred to by many other names. These names include: sophorin, rutoside and oxerutin, among others. Venoruton is the most commonly found brand-name rutin supplement.

    Uses

  1. Rutin is used to treat Meniere's disease, hemorrhoids, poor circulation and skin bruising and to reduce the visibility of varicose veins. Rutin is also used for the treatment of hypertension, atherosclerosis and osteoarthritis. Some studies promote it for treatment of schizophrenia. Rutin can help prevent strokes and other health problems.
