Dress Up Doll Games
Dress up games are an ideal way to keep little girls entertained, especially on rainy days when they can't go outside to play. Adults may think dress up is a game on its own, but, with a creative mind and imaginative children, you can come up with tons of dress up doll games to keep girls occupied.
-
Contests
-
Conduct all dress up doll games as competitions that will be judged on prettiest, most fitting to the competition and maybe even quickest time. This will teach girls about contests and how to follow rules. Make each girl playing a winner so that no one feels left out. Suggest that the girls dress their dolls up for parties, Christmas or as animals.
Models
-
Invite the children to dress the dolls up in numerous outfits and parade them down a fake catwalk while they explain to the other girls what the outfit their doll is wearing looks like and is made from. Don't feel embarrassed to play along and give the kids an example to go by as they play.
-
Future Aspirations
-
Ask the girls to dress their dolls up as what they want to be when they grow up. Once they have dressed their dolls, have them present it to the other girls and explain what they want to be when they grow up along with all the responsibilities they will have with that career.
Clowning
-
Have the girls dress their dolls up as clowns, with mismatching and funny-looking outfits and have them pretend to be clowns at a circus playing with the elephants and lions and doing tricks. Tell the girls to act silly and dress their clowns with pants as hats and two or more shirts, pants and skirts.
Paper Dolls
-
Playing with paper or paper dolls helps keep the girls entertained because they will be able to make their own dolls, either from their own cutouts or from cutouts of models in magazines and also make their own clothing for the dolls. With paper dolls, you can cut out numerous outfits for the girls and allow them to decorate the outfits with crayons or markers.
