Herbal Medications for Anxiety Attacks

Anxiety, also referred to as generalized anxiety disorder, is a mental disorder in which a person experiences excessive worry that can lead to a severe disruption in his life. Anxiety is often treated with prescription antidepressants, sedatives or a combination of both. Many patients find these medications difficult to take because of the side effects they cause. Because of this, they may turn to herbal medicines to help alleviate their anxiety attacks.
