Dietitians work with clients regarding food counseling issues, helping them to gain more awareness of what they eat. The Bureau of Labor Statistics from May 2008 shows that the average salary for a dietitian is $24.75 an hour or $51,470 a year. The lower tenth percentile makes around $15.13 an hour while the upper tenth percentile earns about $35.29 an hour.
