Job Responsibilities

A director of radiology is responsible for designing and implementing a medical facility's imaging strategy, procedures, equipment and policies. She manages the team in the operation of all of the facility's equipment, including fluoroscopes, computerized tomography scanners, X-ray machines and magnetic resonance imaging equipment. She assess the accuracy of images and handles all technical troubleshooting. She also develops and puts into place safety protocols and regulations, ensuring her departments compliance with facility and governmental requirements.
