Diet Plans for Men
It is no secret that men and women are different. Mars. Venus. The same goes for which diets work and which don't. Fatty deposits settle in different areas on men as they do women, resulting in different long-term effects, outside and inside. A healthy, well-chosen diet for a man needs to not only increase the physical, but also the mental, well-being.

Atkins Diet
-
The ever-popular Atkins Diet is a true staple of a real, working diet. By limiting the intake of carbohydrates, particularly those that are refined such as sugar and flour, the person can lose weight safely. The idea behind this diet came from the notion of people relying too heavily on fast-food restaurants for their meals. By limiting carbohydrates and increasing protein, this diet really works. As a side note, switch the regular beers to light beers to help the diet along, guys.
South Beach Diet
-
Similar to the Atkins Diet, the South Beach Diet focuses on carbohydrate and sugar intake. This diet, however, does not suggest that you eliminate carbohydrates altogether, but rather only ingest the ones with low sugar levels. Also, it focuses less on protein intake and more on balancing the wider gamut of foods out there. This diet also separates good fats from bad, allowing for some essential fats to be eaten on a regular basis.

Caveman Diet
-
Perhaps a little closer to home, the Caveman Diet has an interesting, yet proven, theory. The dieter simply eats fruits and nuts during the day. Much like our ancestors did way back when, they were looking for meat all day, but only having small tidbits to eat along the way. At night, the dieter is encouraged to feast on anything. That's right, anything. But, only once per day. The cycle is continued the next morning. This is supposed to symbolize the celebration of the day's kill, and the hope for the same thing tomorrow.
Nutrisystem
-
The popular plan hyped by football legend Dan Marino is Nutrisystem. The idea here is to eat foods you love and still lose weight through the purchase of pre-packaged meals. The diet boasts such goodies as pizza, hamburgers, and even desserts that are engineered to shed pounds. The process ultimately works, but is more costly than other options out there.
The Common Sense Plan
-
Not found on a shelf or infomercial, the Common Sense Plan comes from your own common sense and years of advice from medical professionals. Eat fruits and vegetables while limiting intake of processed foods and takeout. Spend a little more time in the kitchen preparing fresh food other than dining out at fast food restaurants. Exercise and drink plenty of water. These things take more time, but the result is a healthier body, mind and spirit.
