Streamer Decorations
-
Since the Transformers arise from cold metal, it's only fitting that you decorate your party with an abundance of metallic streamers. Purchase silver and gold metallic streamers and twist them together to give the streamers a three-dimensional look. Your guests will love the way the light reflects the colors on the streamers. Hang these streamers from the center of the room toward the opposite walls. Use streamers over doorways to welcome your little visitors.
Balloon Decorations
-
No birthday party is complete without colorful balloons to create a festive atmosphere. The Transformers are very colorful, so you have a variety of colors to choose from when creating balloon decorations. Transformers are often black, blue, red, silver, purple and green. Fill five to eight metallic balloons with helium and tie them together with metallic ribbons in contrasting colors. Arrange metallic balloons of different heights into clusters. Place these clusters at each side of the entrance. Create more balloon clusters and place them throughout the room. Tie helium balloons in the color of your son's favorite Transformer to his chair. For example, if your son likes Bumblebee, use yellow balloons.

Wall Decorations
-
Transform the walls in your home into an intergalactic battleground with decorations related to the Transformers. Create mystery in the dark areas of your home with glow-in-the-dark necklaces and lanterns. Enlarge symbols of the Autobots and Decepticons and paste them on the wall. Hang these symbols high on the wall so that they are easily seen. Make a banner that says "More Than Meets the Eye," which refers to the fact that the Transformers are robots in disguise. Cover the walls with posters of the Transformer characters such as Starscream, Megatron, Bumblebee and Ironhide.
Character Standees
-
Purchase an Optimus Prime standee or a Bumblebee standee to greet your guests as they enter the room. A budget-friendly idea is to ask your local grocery store for empty boxes. Glue these cardboard boxes to each other to make a large car or truck shape. Use poster paint to make your shapes look like actual Transformer characters. Optimus Prime is often created because his semi shape is easy to make with just a few large boxes.
Mini Stations
-
Let your guests decide if they want to be an Autobot or a Decepticon.Create mini stations in the room that your guests will have to report to. Use one table per mini station. Drape the Autobot table with a red or blue tablecloth and use a purple or black tablecloth for the Decepticons. Place Transformer toys of each team on the tables. Each mini station should offer a different activity for each team. For example, purchase a stamping kit to use on the faces of your guests. Allow each child to choose his favorite design or Transformer. Or purchase Transformer tattoos for your guests to apply to each other. Or another popular activity is to let the kids color a Transformer picture.
