Health Uses of Neem Oil
Neem oil is an oil that is pressed from the fruits and seeds of the evergreen Neem tree. Neem oil has been used for thousands of years as a healing tonic for all sorts of ailments. Neem is known for its skin-healing properties and ability to ward off pests. Neem oil is very concentrated, so it penetrates deeply into the skin. Neem is a potent miticide, fungicide and insecticide. The neem leaves also control fungus and black spots on plants. Neem oil is also an anthelminitic, which means that it has the ability to expel worms and parasites from the body. However, neem should never be used on children under 12 years old because it is too strong. Neem oil may cause a child to go into a coma if it is ingested.
Eczema

Eczema is a skin condition characterized by red, inflamed skin and sores and lesions. Eczema sufferers also experience extreme dryness and itching. Neem oil has been shown to reduce the symptoms of eczema because it helps to reduce inflammation.

Neem oil has a strong, distinct garlic-like odor that repels insects. Neem also contains an ingredient known as Azadirachtin, which is known to prevent insect growth by impairing larval stage from molt into an adult. Many pest control products are infused with neem oil because it has shown to be very effective. Neem is also a more natural alternative to chemical-laden mosquito repellents.

Neem oil is a strong antiseptic and is loaded with nutrients. When applied directly to the skin, neem oil helps to reduce pain, inflammation and itching that result from bug bites or other skin abrasions.
