In America, in the 1960s and 1970s with the hippie movement, nose rings became popular. That popularity continues today and nose piercing is on the rise. To get your nose pierced you must be over the age of 18 or have guardian consent. After getting the piercing, a combination of sea salt and water is most often used to clean and take care of the piercing. An initial period of six months is recommended before trying to change the piercing.
