Air Arabia careers are similar to those at other airlines.

Air Arabia is a low-cost airline that began operating in 2003 out of the United Arab Emirates, servicing the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and South and Central Asia. Its business model is similar to the one implemented by low-cost carriers that operate in the United States and Europe. There are many career opportunities at Air Arabia, all of which require certain necessary qualifications.

Crew Planning Officer

This person is responsible for ensuring that all flights are adequately staffed and ensuring that all rosters and crew records are kept up-to-date. This person is also responsible for ensuring that work is distributed equitably among flight crew members. Basic requirements include a bachelor’s degree and two to three years of relevant work experience.

Performance Engineer

The performance engineer oversees the flight operation from a technical standpoint. This person ensures that all safety procedures and mechanisms are in place, thereby keeping with all regulatory requirements. Educational requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering--particularly in aeronautical or aerospace engineering--as well as a minimum of three years work experience in flight operations engineering.

Second Officer

The second officer is a third member of a flight crew--along with the first officer and captain--sometimes called a flight engineer. He or she is a licensed pilot, but normally doesn't fly the plane except in emergency situations. This job opportunity is available to United Arab Emirates natives wishing to enter a training program to obtain the qualifications to become a second officer. To qualify, the applicant must possess a valid CPL/IR dual engine and license and be at least 18 years of age but no older than 30. The applicant must also be able to pass a medical exam and other assessment tests.

Sales Manager

The sales manager should possess a strong passion for airline sales as this person is responsible for initiating and implementing sales and marketing campaigns. Strong analytical and negotiation skills are also necessary. The applicant must possess a college degree and at lease three years of sales experience in the airline industry. The ability to recruit and motivate sales agents is also a requirement.

Quality Assurance Engineer

This person is responsible for overseeing product audits and surveillance checks to assure that all quality procedures are followed. The position also entails the responsibility to evaluate quality procedures and to implement changes where necessary. An aircraft engineering degree is a requirement for the position, as well as a minimum of five years working in the airline industry.
