Signs of Tiredness

When we skimp on sleep, eat on the run and don't exercise, we get worn out. A person needs to re-charge at some point and, if you don't, it's going to catch up with you. If you have pushed yourself beyond your limits, you'll become more susceptible to illness because your immune system has been compromised. You cannot operate at top speed for a prolonged period and expect to be at the top of your game, mentally or physically.

    Your Face

  1. If you are barely putting one foot in front of the other and have lost your zest and enthusiasm for life, it might just be that you are too tired. Fatigue shows up in your face: Your eyes no longer sparkle, you have dark circles under your eyes and your color is so wane no amount of make-up can conceal it. You might be gaining or losing weight. Your body might ache. These are all clues that you need to take a breather and get some rest.
  2. CFS

  3. If an individual is suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome, he will display numerous symptoms, according to the Mayo Clinic, including inexplicable muscle pain, loss of memory, sore throat, enlarged lymph nodes in the armpits and neck that are painful, headaches, waking up feeling tired, pain that travels from one joint to another and extreme exhaustion and fatigue that lasts longer than it should after participating in mental or physical exercise.
  4. Adrenal Fatigue

  5. Women who suffer from depression, moodiness, fatigue, autoimmune disorders and skin problems might well have an adrenal disorder, according to Womentowomen.com. An adrenal disorder affects cortisol (the stress hormone) levels. If a woman is being subjected to high stress on regularly, her adrenal glands can suffer from adrenal fatigue. Fortunately, this can be remedied through dietary changes, rest and stress reduction. It sometimes requires medicine or the use of herbs to re-establish the health of the adrenal glands.
  6. Other Symptoms

  7. Some people who suffer from extreme tiredness might have heart palpitations, vertigo or experience dizziness, according to Emedicinehealth.com. An individual might be so weak that she passes out.
  8. Cognitive Impairment

  9. When fatigue consumes you, you might find that you're unable to make the simplest decisions. Your cognitive abilities have become impaired because of your chronic state of tiredness.
  10. Irritability

  11. If you are becoming increasingly irritable and find that you have no energy, this may be due to extreme fatigue, according to Charminghealth.com.
