Home Remedy for Wrinkles on the Corner of the Mouth

Save

Trying to eliminate wrinkles around the corners of the mouth is bad enough without having to pay for expensive creams and ointments. Thankfully, there are a few products that you already have at home, or that can be purchased for only a few dollars at your local grocery store.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has natural fat in it, making it ideal for plumping creases and wrinkles that have formed around the corners of the mouth. Coconut oil also keeps the skin hydrated, which will help in the prevention of wrinkles. Dab coconut oil around the mouth and leave overnight (this will need to be done on a regular basis to see results). The oil will be absorbed into the skin, leaving it soft and hydrated, and wrinkles will become less noticeable. Coconut oil can be purchased at any health-food store, pharmacy or grocery store near the vitamins.

Vitamin B

Vitamin B naturally feeds and hydrates the skin. Vitamin B also has antioxidants that naturally help to fill in the wrinkles. The best way to get vitamin B (besides diet and supplement) is to buy the gel caps, poke a hole into one with a straight pin and squeeze the vitamin B gel onto your finger. Rub the gel around the corners of the mouth, until it is absorbed into the skin.

Honey & Olive Oil

Honey naturally helps the body retain the moisture it already has. Honey also has alpha hydroxy acids, which help keep the skin healthy and looking youthful. Olive oil hydrates the skin and keeps it smooth. Mix the two together, spread around the mouth, focusing specifically on the wrinkled areas, and allow to sit for half an hour. Wipe off with a wet soft cloth.

Vodka Toner

Make your own toner that will naturally tighten the skin around the mouth, helping to smooth the wrinkle lines, as well as prevent new ones from forming. The recipe is: two tbsp. of vodka, one tbsp. of fennel seeds, and two tsp. of honey. Boil together and allow to sit for a few days in the refrigerator. Strain the seeds out of the toner and use nightly around the corners of the mouth.

Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil is absorbed by the skin and hydrates it, leaving it smooth and clear. Rosehip oil has over 70 percent of fatty acids, which help plump up the skin, thus making it ideal for treating wrinkles. Rosehip oil can be purchased in gel capsules or in bottles at your local health-food stores. If purchased in a gel capsule, poke a hole in the capsule using a straight pin. Squeeze out the gel and rub gently onto the corners of the mouth.
