Meanings of Healing Crystals

Crystals are used for healing and balancing the chakras. Chakra in Sanskrit means "wheel" and are believed to be wheels of energy located in various points of the body. These wheels can be stimulated with corresponding colors and crystals, which are believed to bring balance and healing. If a chakra is blocked or out of balance it can cause physical or emotional problems within an individual. Electrical vibrations of different crystals and gemstones are used because they interact with the chakras to promote harmony and balance. Each type of crystal and gemstone is considered to have a different energy and healing effect on the body. There are many types of healing crystals and stones. Here are the most typical ones used for each chakra.

Root Chakra

Hematite is a shiny black stone that is considered to be a grounding stone. It is used for the root chakra, which is our grounding energy. The grounding effect of the hematite helps to focus the mind and prevent it from wandering. It is an overall healing and protection stone that is considered helpful with blood disorders and circulatory problems. Crown Chakra

Crystal quartz is used for balancing the crown chakra. It's believed to be an overall healing stone that can be used to replace any other crystal that isn't available. Crystal quartz are also believed to enhance and magnify the healing powers of other crystals and stones.
