Swedish Pimples are fishing lures made of brass with various colors mainly colors seen on fish. These shiny lures are fish-shaped with hooks on the ends to attach bate, such as grubs, so the fish get stuck on the hook.
History

The lure has been used in Sweden for over 100 years in salt water and lakes, according to Bay de Noc Lure Company. The lure attracts all sorts of delicious fish such as bass, trout, salmon and catfish. These lures can also be used when ice fishing.
Sizes

These lures are available in many different sizes. The smallest is called a 2# and is 1 inch long and weighs one tenth of an ounce. The largest is called 14# and is 5 inches long, weighing 4 ounces.
Variations

Try a variation of the Swedish Pimple. Flute spoons are a lighter version of Swedish Pimples; they wiggle when being pulled back to you. Vingla is another version of the Swedish Pimple with an added wing on the back which gives it more movement when casting and retrieving. Each version was made after the Swedish Pimple in an effort to perfect the lure for certain types of fish.

Uses

Fish with size 2# to 5# when fishing for game or pan fish in shallow lakes and rivers. The larger sizes are for saltwater fish.
