Side Effects of Too Much Synthroid
Synthroid is a drug designed as a replacement for a hormone produced by the thyroid gland. When the thyroid gland isn't functioning properly, the body must be given a supplement in order to offset the problem. Synthroid is also used to treat hypothyroidism and to prevent an enlarged thyroid gland. Some believe Synthroid can be used as a treatment for obesity, but this isn't true.
