What are Regulation Dart Board Dimensions?

As with most sports and games, a dartboard carries certain specific measurements to ensure it is regulation. A dartboard must typically follow these regulations if it is to be used in any kind of league or official play. Any dartboard not conforming to these regulations may be deemed unacceptable.

Dartboard Measurements

A regulation dartboard is a circle with a diameter of 18 inches. It should be 1.5 inches thick.

Zone Area Measurements

The double number zone area should measure 0.773 square inches, and the triple number zone area should measure 0.479 square inches.

Single Number Area Measurements

The single number outer area should measure 3.547 square inches, and the single number inner area should measure 2.297 square inches.

Bull's-Eye Area Measurements

The single bull's-eye area should measure 1.031 square inches, and the double bull's-eye area should measure 0.196 square inches.

Regulation Numbers

A regulation dartboard will contain the numbers 1 through 20.

Regulation Height and Throwing Line

A regulation dartboard should be hung with the center bull's-eye 5 feet 8 inches from the floor. The throwing line should be drawn 7 feet, 9.25 inches from the dartboard.
