As of December 31, 2008, MGM Mirage owns 16 hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada. MGM Mirage is the result of a merger between MGM Grand Inc. and Mirage Resort Inc. finalized as of May 31, 2000. It is the second largest gaming company, employing approximately 54,700 people in 2009.
