The Shapely Secrets Workout is the exercise portion of the Shapely Secrets program. The program includes a 25-second timer, an instructional guide and a Shapely Secrets program training DVD, which Greer Childs developed.
This workout is merely one of the seven secret steps in the Shapely Secrets program. There is no cardiovascular component to the Shapely Secrets Workout. The workout will not help anyone to lose very much in weight or inches on its own, but rather it must be done along with the rest of the secret steps to provide the claimed or desired results.   1. Type of Exercises

    • The Shapely Secret Workout recommends exercises that require very little motion. They are referred to by Greer Childs as "diametric resistance."
      Diametric resistance exercises are actually isometric exercises, which involve the exerciser's tensing of her body muscles while overall remaining nearly motionless. The exercise positions are often those in which a movement has occurred, but in midmovement, the exerciser stops and holds a particular position, thereby strengthening muscles that are not typically used in that way in day-to-day activities.

    Body Parts Affected

    • The Shapely Secrets Workout comprises a total of four exercises performed over a 7-minute period. Two of these are for the arms, one is for the face and one is for the lower body.
      The first arm exercise is for biceps, the second is for the triceps, the third is for the lower body and the fourth is for the face. None of these exercises work the back or the chest. The abdomen, shoulders and many others parts of the body are not affected by this workout.

    The Seven Secrets

    • 1. Keep a journal of your daily progress and measure yourself every day.
      2. Keep track of how many calories you burn each day. Be mindful of the calories you consume. Take in fewer calories than you burn off.
      3. Eat high-fiber and low-calorie foods. Stop eating refined carbohydrate foods.
      4. Drink 64 oz. chilled water every day. Drink water with all your meals. Chilled water makes the body work harder to warm up the water and aids in burning more calories.
      5. Keep tempting foods that do not fit in with Secret 3 out of your sight.
      6. Do the 7-minute workout every day.
      7. Get someone else to do the program with you so that you have support. Also, tell at least three other friends, who will check on your progress to keep you focused.

    Benefits

    • This program is particularly beneficial to exercisers with health problems that limit their ability to move. Any isometrics exercise program would also assist those with limited mobility.

    Expense

    • The Shapely Secrets Plan is advertised online and on infomercials as costing two payments of $19.95. The Fitness Infomercial Review shows multiple customer complaints that Shapely Secrets charged their credit cards $100 up front when they ordered this product.
      It would be less expensive to simply look up a few isometric exercises online and practice them. There are also many books about isometrics on the market that one can purchase in any number of discount bookstores for under $10.
