About Xenadrine

Xenadrine is the name of a popular weight-loss supplement that formerly contained ephedra, which is a sympathomimetic amine that functions as an appetite suppressant/weight loss stimulant. However, since ephedrine was banned, Xenadrine now consists of more traditional ingredients. It is often considered to be a controversial fat-control supplement due to its previous association with ephedra.

  1. Ingredients

    • Xenadrine now consists of traditional ingredients that are found in many other weight-control supplements. Xenadrine's ingredients include chromium polynicotinate, garcinia cambogia, white willow bark (another name for aspirin), caffeine, ginger root, guarana, pantothentic acid, cocoa extract, green tea, yerba mate and gymnema sylvestre.

    Function

    • The primary promoted functions of Xenadrine as a weight-loss supplement include lessening hunger, decreasing food cravings, rapidly speeding up the metabolism, increasing energy, lowering calories, maintaining blood sugar levels and encouraging easier and quicker weight loss.

    Tips

    • There are various tips that are supposed to help people who are using Xenadrine. Xenadrine is supposed to be accompanied by a healthy, regular exercise regimen as well as a diet that is low in fat and calories. The exercise routine should involve strength training and cardiovascular activities. A lot of water also must be consumed.

    Effectiveness

    • Xenadrine used to contain ephedra. However, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned ephedra from all pharmacy shelves, so now Xenadrine consists of far more traditional components. As a result, many people believe Xenadrine has lost its effectiveness in assisting with fast weight loss.

    Caffeine

    • Another component of Xenadrine that many people object to is caffeine. This is due to the fact that caffeine operates as a stimulant and provides temporary jolts of energy and increased feelings of awareness. Some possible negative side effects to consuming caffeine include experiencing a mild type of paranoia and heart palpitations. Caffeine is known for being very addictive, as well.
