Vitamin A is the vitamin that plays a most prevalent role in skin cell activities. It is an antioxidant that causes a neutralization of harmful skin elements. The vitamin helps the skin to maintain its youthful luster. Vitamin E is also an antioxidant for the skin. It protects the skin from ultra-violet rays and free-radicals that tend to produce an aging effect on the skin. Vitamin E also acts as a regulator for how much vitamin A is in the body. Vitamin F acts as a skin revitalizer that instantly soothes dry skin. It protects the skin from being dry and scaly.

While shea oil comes in many forms, the kind that you should get for the treatment of psoriasis is "unrefined." Unless the shea oil is labeled as being unrefined, it is likely to have been overly processed. Overly processed shea oil will not be effective in healing a skin condition such as psoriasis.
